Entertainment

Get ready for an entertaining WE10 Conference! COBU, a performing arts group, will open the Career Fair, and Roxy Bellows, a performance entertainer, will host the Celebrate SWE! event.

Career Fair Opening

Thursday, Nov. 4, 5:00 - 6:00pm

COBU
COBUCOBU, a New York-based rhythm performing arts group, founded by Yako Miyamoto in 2000, combines elements of the Japanese traditional Taiko drumming with rhythmic Tap dancing. Their performance has received outstanding reviews from the New York Times and the Chicago Sun Times, and in 2001, COBU received the "Choreography Award" from Mann & Entertainment.

COBU’s signature sound is created organically through acoustic instruments and contemporary dance. This juxtaposition of traditional modernity makes them one of the most unique and original musical variety groups to date.

Internationally known and recognized, COBU travels and performs throughout much of Asia and Europe, while maintaining a strong presence in Japan and The United States.

Celebrate SWE!

Saturday, Nov. 6, 6:30 - 10:00pm

Roxy Bellows
Roxy BellowsBack by popular demand, Roxy Bellows will serve as the emcee for Celebrate SWE! Roxy has been entertaining audiences across the country for decades, although you’d never know it by looking at her! She has appeared in every theater in Branson at least once. Early in her career she realized that composers were passing her over and writing songs for the likes of Natalie Cole and New Kids on the Block. She took matters into her own hands and began composing and is happy to share those works with you tonight. When she isn’t belting out one of her show-stopping original songs or getting better acquainted with her loyal fans, Roxy likes nothing more than to go tanning at a spa with Babs and Bette. That is if she can find a place that lets her bring her cats!
