The Society of Women Engineers Announces 2010 Award Recipients at WE10 Annual Conference
CHICAGO – November 9, 2010 – The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is pleased to announce the 2010 award recipients. Thirty-eight individuals were honored for various reasons, yet all have demonstrated success, leadership and initiative in their areas of expertise.
“SWE is proud to recognize individuals this year who have demonstrated commitment to diversifying the engineering industry and reached significant achievements in their fields,” says Siddika Demir, SWE president. “This year’s award recipients have supported and empowered women engineers, inspired future generations and defined success on their own terms.”
The following individuals were recognized this year:

The awards were presented at two awards ceremonies during WE10, the Society’s Annual Conference. WE10 was held at the Orange County Convention Center, November 4-6, in Orlando, FL. More than 5,300 attendees included collegians and professionals from the industry, government and academia.
